What you need to know about your pores.
Sweat, pollution, dust, and pore-clogging makeup are a constant threat to our pores. If you have combination to oily skin, keeping pores clear is hard work.
What is a pore?
A pore (or follicle) is a duct in the skin and is attached to a sebaceous gland. Oily skin produces more sebum, which encourages bacteria to thrive and - combined with poor cell turnover - is the leading cause of whiteheads, blackheads and cysts. Our pore size is determined by genetics - you can't shrink or minimize pores physically, but you can reduce the look of pores with exfoliation and routine cleansing.
Why do I need a facial?
Routine Deep Pore Cleansing Facials are a benefit to your skin. Aesthetician's have the knowledge to give you professional advice to keep your pores clear all-day with the right combination of products suited for your skin. Additionally, there's an art form to extracting or popping pimples. Extraction facials save your skin from scarring and dark spots where blemishes are/were, and these treatments clear away blackheads that make pores look much, much larger.
